The Clarksdale Blues-Star is published weekly on Sundays in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Our paper serves the Clarksdale and Coahoma County area as well as Quitman, Tallahatchie, Tunica, and Bolivar Counties in Mississippi and Phillips County, Arkansas. The Blues-Star began with a premier issue on April 12, 2009 and began its regular run on May 3, 2009.

The Clarksdale Blues-Star is a subsidiary of New Vision Media, Inc., a Mississippi corporation. Our offices are located at 142 Sunflower Avenue, Clarksdale, Mississippi.

Publisher Emeritus, Larry Liddell 

Larry Liddell began his journalistic career after graduating from Delta State College in 1964 as the Sports Editor of the Clarksdale (MS) Press Register, serving in that capacity from 1964 through 1967 when he became Assistant Sports Information Director at The University of Mississippi.

After three years at Ole Miss, Liddell was hired by the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League as Assistant Director of Public Relations and, in 1972, became the Director of Public Relations, a position he held until 1977, serving under three head coaches: J.D. Roberts, John North and Hank Stram.

After 30 years in healthcare marketing and public relations, Liddell returned to the Clarksdale Press Register in 1999 as Managing Editor before leaving the newspaper field to try his hand at Human Resources in 2001.

In 2004, he accepted the position of Public Information Officer for Tunica County, MS., a position he continues to maintain in addition to his duties as Publisher of The Clarksdale Blues-Star.

Editor and Publisher, Nathan Duff

Nathan Duff is an award-winning writer who began freelancing for various publications in 1994. He is the winner of the 2007 Hazel Thornell Award for Creative Non-fiction and the 2008 winner in the Informal Essay category at the Southern Literary Festival. He served as Sports Editor for the Cleveland News-Leader in 2004, and was the Editor-in-Chief of The Delta Statement in 2008.

Duff is a graduate of Clarksdale High School and Delta State University.
